DGK Skateboards
DGK is a skateboarding brand owned by professional skateboarder Stevie Williams (Tony Hawk's Pro Skater) and Troy Morgan of The Kayo Corp. I originally joined the project to help wrap it up as the previous editor moved onto a new gig. However, what was supposed to be three days turned into three months, and I became the head narrative editor.
Below you'll find some of the narrative scenes I put together. I worked with the color house, VFX team, music composer, and our online editor, who helped us deal with our crazy timeline. The narrative scenes were shot in HD at 30, but the skateboarding footage was shot in SD at 29.97. Getting that ready for the big screen was troublesome, but the final product was rewarding.
